Aims and Scope

This conference aims to bridge the areas of solitons and nonlinear physics with the field of quantum degenerate gases, specifically Bose-Einstein condensates and degenerate Fermi gases. We would like to stimulate the interaction between three different communities: experimentalists working with quantum degenerate gases, theoreticial physicists working on different aspects of cold atoms and experts on solitons and nonlinear phenomena (usually mathematical physicists and mathematicians). The main goals of the conference are to stimulate mutual knowledge, and to identify and address new problems.
Specific topics include but are not restricted to: solitons and nonlinear waves in Bose-Einstein condensates and Fermi gases, the interplay between nonlinearity and disorder in cold quantum gases, collapse phenomena, chaos in quantum degenerate gases, turbulent behavior in cold quantum gases, effects of dimension (dimensional reduction, multidimensional patterns, ...), nonlinear phenomena in Boson-fermion mixtures, stabilized structures, nonlinear dynamics in spinor BECs, interaction of nonlinear waves with potentiales, solitary wave collisions, localized structures in strongly correlated systems, finite temperature solitons, pattern formation and applicability to BEC, nonlinear phenomena in dipolar Bose-Einstein condensates, Josephson effects with Bose-Einstein condensates, nonlinear dynamics in Bose-Hubbard models, quantum fluids and their connection with quantum gases, analogies between strongly interacting quantum gases and other physical systems, nonlinear phenomena for quantum computing using quantum degenerate gases, mathematical and numerical methods for the analysis of quantum degenerate gases, the mathematical analysis of models arising in the field of cold quantum gases, and related topics. etc ...
