Conference venue

The conference will be held at the Palacio de Los Condes de Valdeparaiso, in Almagro, Ciudad Real, a nice historic building used by the University of Castilla-La Mancha to host conferences, workshops and other events.

Almagro is a touristic village with a high historic and cultural value (see e.g. http://www.ciudad-almagro.com only in Spanish). You can get acquinted with the place by visiting the section "Galería de imágenes"

Getting to Almagro

The best option is to fly to Madrid and then take the high-speed train departing from Atocha Renfe (also called Atocha Ave) railway station to Ciudad Real. To reach Atocha Renfe railway station from Barajas Airport the fastest option is to take a taxi (cost about 30 €). There is also a good direct train connection every half an hour from Barajas Terminal 4 (takes 25 minutes from Barajas to Atocha). There are also direct coaches from the different terminals to Atocha Renfe railway station.

Travel time from Madrid to Ciudad Real is 50 minutes with trains departing approximatelly every hour (see full list here). Taxi cost from Ciudad Real to Almagro is about 25 €. The organization will provide a trasfers from Ciudad Real to Almagro on june 3 at 20:15 matching with the Avant train arriving to Ciudad Real at 20:08. The coach will leave from the main entrance of the railway station. For those arriving earlier there is a direct train connection from Ciudad Real to Almagro at 16:55. Taxi cost from Ciudad Real to Almagro is about 30 €.

The organization will also provide transportation from the Palace of Valdeparaiso on June 6 leaving at 17:15.  PLEASE LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE IF YOU PLAN TO USE THESE SERVICES.
