The freelance scientific journalist and mathematician Patricia Ruiz Guevara has won the Boehringer Ingelheim price on digital health journalism for her article "The mathematician who fights against cancer: That is how algorithms will save lives" published in "El Confidencial".
The Boeringer Ingelheim prize for Journalism in Medicine goals are to recognize and promote the work of scientific journalists and media in raising public awareness on advances in medicine and health. In last year edition more than 200 works participated in the digital journalism modality. Patricia's work was first selected in a group of four finalists and then awarded with the prize in this year's edition.
