ICIAM (International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics) is a series of Applied Mathematics conferences held every four years. They are the largest world applied mathematics conferences, this year edition having about 4,000 participants. 

During the conference there were plenary talks and sessions devoted to mathematical biology. MOLAB members Juan Belmonte and Alicia Martínez organized the minisymposium "Mathematical models in the systems biology of cancer" (MS A6-5-3) in three different parts
